A new toy, dumpster diving & band camp begins
I got a new toy! I'm so excited! But before I tell you what it is, I have to tell you how I got it. It's such a cool story!

I work for a Major Insurance Company.
People file claims with said Insurance Company.
Claims are paid, and the damaged goods turned over to said Insurance Company.
If said damaged goods are salvageable, they are put up for auction on an internal site.
I got me a $600 Husqvarna Viking Sewing machine for $100. The auction posting said it's 4 years old and "unit was sitting in water. Appears to be working with no malfunctions at this time". I finally got it yesterday & there doesn't seem to be a thing wrong with it. Woo Hoo!!

Dumpster diving... I've never done it before but it sounds fun & profitable! The house across the street from me has apparently been abandoned & is now being cleaned out. Last week I noticed a nice looking area rug in it so I convinced Vickie & a friend of hers to go get it for me. Looks really nice in the computer room!
Vickie started band camp today. Sometimes I get really aggrevated at her pissing & moaning. I asked her this morning why she still does it if she hates it so much. She replied that she didn't hate it that much, she just wasn't looking forward to the instructors trying to cram the entire show into the session today. I highly doubt they're going to do that. I really *must* work on her pessimism.
Plans for the weekend: Sewing, bead embroidery, sewing, run errands for Vickie, look at Mom's computer and more sewing. Think I've missed having a sewing machine???
